Virgin 001: Chimpanzees Habituation In Kibale & Wildlife In Queen Elizabeth National Parks. - 5days/4nights.

Tour Highlights: scenic views, full day chimp habituation, game drives, boat cruise, L.katwe salt lick and salt works.

Day One.

Depart for Kibale National park via Mubende a country side town, then stopover in Fort Portal for Lunch (cost not included). Continue the journey while enjoying the beautiful country side scenery with numerous hills and Mountain Ruwenzori in the horizon. On arrival at the lodge, check-in and spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Luxury- Ndali Lodge, Midrange -Primate Lodge or Budget- Ataco Country Resort. Meal plan: Dinner.

Day Two.

After breakfast, report to the starting point at 0800hrs for briefing on how to track habituated chimps. (This is a full day activity) Then begin your tracking for Chimpanzees and learn more about these mammals. In addition, you have an opportunity to view over 13 species of primates including Mangabey and Red Tailed monkeys, other primates and Birds. The forest also offers a wonderful experience of viewing other wild animals like smaller elephants, buffalos; giant forest hogs and antelope species while being given detailed explanations on flora and Fauna. Overnight at Luxury -Ndali Lodge, Midrange- Primate Lodge or Budget-Ataco country Resort. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day Three.

After an early morning breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National park while viewing the beautiful Ruwenzori Mountain Ranges. On arrival, you will check into the Lodge in preparation for, an afternoon game drive where you will view buffalos, elephants, antelopes, Spotted Hyenas, leopards, lions as well as bird species. Overnight at Luxury Mweya Safari Lodge, Mid Range –Bush Lodge or Budget Simba Safari Camp. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day Four

Arise before having breakfast for a game drive which will reward you the opportunity to see wildlife especially carnivores hunting. Also view buffalos, Spotted Hyenas, Waterbucks, and Uganda Kobs, leopards, elephant, antelopes, lion and numerous bird species. Return to the lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, go for a 2hour afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga Channel where there is a large concentration of Nile Hippos, buffalos, numerous bird species, crocodiles and water bucks. Overnight at Luxury-Mweya Safari Lodge, Mid Range-Bush Lodge or Budget Simba Safari Camp. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day Five.

After breakfast, on your way back to Kampala, visit the scenic crater lakes including Lake Katwe and the Katwe Salt works where you’ll experience firsthand traditional salt mining from the locals. Proceed to Kampala having lunch on the way (cost not included) arriving later in the afternoon and be dropped at your preferred place.

Although refreshment stops on route will be made for the clients comfort no meals or beverages are included whilst traveling to and from lodges or accommodations. And No beverages are Included at all except for the one bottle of water a day and tea or coffee at breakfast if included in the accommodation schedule.
