You will be picked from your overnight accommodation and begin your drive west to the equator but first a stopover at Mpanga Forest a beautiful compacted lowland rain forest criss-crossed with an extensive network of trails from which visitors can view the prolific birdlife such as the Great blue Turaco that make this forest their home, together with butterflies that congregate in the sunny clearings along the trails. You will take a nature walk within the forest looking out for the puzzling trees to the local primate population such as blue monkeys. Bush babies can be found here but at night. You will continue west passing through Mpambire village the home of royal drum makers and its concentration. Trees from Mpanga forest provide the materials for making these drums. These awesome drums are known to have been used in communication and calling communities for ceremonies in earlier days. A stopover at Mpambire too gives an opportunity to appreciate the crafting of drums as you are given talk. You will have refreshments and continue to Buwama crocodile farm, home to over 4000crocodiles situated on the shores of Lake Victoria with its own beautiful beach at the water’s edge see these reptiles in their grouped sizes, age, and sex....Get a chance to know more about crocodiles and nature then leave for the Equator arriving for a late lunch (cost not included). Having a relaxed afternoon you will interact with locals take photos and purchase souvenirs and participate in the equator experiment. Return to Kampala arriving later in the evening.
