Day One

You will be picked from your overnight accommodation and depart for the Mountain Gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi having stops along the way at the Equator for refreshments, photos and souvenirs. Continue westwards for lunch (cost not included) in Mbarara, you may also view the Ankole cattle famous for their long horns. Proceed to one of the few Albertine Rift rainforests remaining in Africa…Bwindi, It supports 300-350 (three quarters) of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Prepare for an encounter with a Gorilla family one of the most humbling, thrilling and memorable experiences. In the afternoon, take a self guided walk around the camp. Apart from a check list of 350 birds, the forest boasts of more than 300 species of butterflies and 100 species of mammals. The lowland rainforest and montane forest vegetation are forever locked in a struggle to reach heights that will allow them to see the light. Dinner and overnight at Luxury Buhoma lodge, Mid range Lake Kitandara Camp or Budget Buhoma Community Bandas. Meal Plan - Breakfast and Dinner. TRANSIT TIME 8-10 HOURS.

Day Two

It’s D’ day! Early morning breakfast; proceed to the park headquarters for briefing. You will later be assembled in your groups and taken to your starting points where (carrying packed lunch available from the lodge at extra cost) you will go into the park guided by a ranger and begin your expedition. Tracking the gorillas can take 2 – 6 hours and can be a very inspirational, worthwhile lifetime experience where you will be spend time with these great apes. You will return to your lodge and simply relax the rest of the evening or you may opt to have a guided village walk or visit the Local Batwa Community. Dinner and overnight at Luxury Buhoma lodge, Mid range Lake Kitandara Camp or Budget Buhoma Community Bandas. Meal Plan - Breakfast and Dinner. TRANSIT TIME 8-10 HOURS.

Day Three.

Breakfast at Leisure, before proceeding to the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi, described by the BBC Focus on Africa as the “most beautiful lake in the world”. Spend the afternoon at leisure on Bushara Island bird watching and/or fishing the local way or you may interact with the locals in their activities. Dinner and overnight at Luxury- Heritage H’abuharo Lodge, Midrange-Arcadia cottages or Budget-Bunyonyi Overland Camp. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. TRANSIT TIME 3 HOURS.

Day Four.

After breakfast, depart for Kampala having lunch en route (cost not included) arriving later in the evening and proceed to your preferred drop off point.


Accommodation, Meals as included by your accommodation choice, Park entry fees, one Gorilla permit, one bottle of mineral water per person per day, private 4x4 ground transportation with an English speaking driver guide.


International Air Fares, entry visa fees, domestic and international departure tax. ****no meals if staying in Budget accommodation****. Activities at Lake Bunyonyi, beverages, tips, and expenses of a personal nature. Please note: Although refreshment stops on route will be made for the clients comfort no meals or beverages are included whilst traveling to and from lodges or accommodations. And No beverages are Included at all except for the one bottle of water a day and tea or coffee at breakfast if included in the accommodation schedule.
