Virgin 004: Gorillas And Lake Mburo National Park Tour. 4days/3nights.

Day One:

Depart from Kampala by road for Bwindi impenetrable approximately 8-10 hrs. En-route, you will have a brief stop at the Equator for refreshments and souvenirs, you may as well take photos. You will then proceed to Mbarara where you will stop for lunch (cost not included) then later begin the drive through banana plantations and rolling green hills also known as the ‘Switzerland of Africa’. Driving south-West to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park most reputable for its Mountain Gorillas which inhabit the Montane Forest spreading across the steep ridges of the Albertine Rift Valley arriving later in the evening and proceed to your preferred accommodation. Dinner and overnight at Luxury Buhoma lodge, Mid range Lake Kitandara Camp or Budget Buhoma Community Bandas. Meal Plan - Breakfast and Dinner. TRANSIT TIME 8-10 HOURS.

Day Two

It’s D’ day! Early morning breakfast; proceed to the park headquarters for briefing. You will later be assembled in your groups and taken to your starting points where (carrying packed lunch available from the lodge at an extra cost) you will go into the park guided by a ranger and begin your expedition. Tracking the gorillas can take 2 – 6 hours and can be a very inspirational, worthwhile lifetime experience where you will be spend time with these great apes. You will return to your lodge and simply relax the rest of the evening or you may opt to have a guided village walk or visit the Local Batwa Community. Dinner and overnight at Luxury Buhoma lodge, Mid range Lake Kitandara Camp or Budget Buhoma Community Bandas. Meal Plan - Breakfast and Dinner. TRANSIT TIME 8-10 HOURS.

Day Three

After breakfast depart for Lake Mburo National Park having Lunch en-route (cost not included). (This scenic drive is approximately 7-8 hours.)You’ll then arrive and check into the lodge in time for a boat trip where you’ll be rewarded with the view of crocodiles, hippos, birds such as pelicans, herons, cormorants, fish eagles, shoebill stork and many other bird species, this park is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebras, Impalas, Elands and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best places to find African Fin foot, Papyrus Bush Shrike. Dinner and Overnight at Luxury-Mihingo Lodge, Mid-range Mantana Tented Camp or Budget Rwonyo Campsite. Meal plan: Breakfast and Dinner.

Day Four

An early morning tea/coffee and game drive gets you up on this day where you’ll see big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland, buffalo, species such as the waterbuck, bushbuck, duiker and other savannah species before returning to your lodge and relax for the rest of your morning before having lunch (cost not included) at your chosen accommodation. Depart for Kampala arriving later in the evening.


Accommodation, meals as indicated by your choice of accommodation , park entry fees, game drive, launch cruises, one bottle of mineral water per person per day, a Gorilla Permit and private 4x4 ground transportation with an English speaking driver guide.


International Air Fares, entry visa fees, domestic and international departure tax. ****no meals if staying in Budget accommodation****. Beverages, tips, and expenses of a personal nature. Please note: Although refreshment stops on route will be made for the clients comfort no meals or beverages are included whilst traveling to and from lodges or accommodations. And No beverages are Included at all except for the one bottle of water a day and tea or coffee at breakfast if included in the accommodation schedule.
